Job description

Class Act Teaching Services are the leading supply agency in Oxfordshire and we are working with a Secondary School in Abingdon who are looking for a Social Sciences Teacher. The school are looking for a Social Science Teacher to work full time starting after the October half term and continuing until the end of the half term. The role will involve teaching across all year groups and will include the subjects of Psychology, Sociology and Religious Education; there will also be some planning involved in the role and time allocated for this.

Social Sciences Teacher Role:

  • Good familiarity of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum for Psychology, Sociology and Religious Education. 
  • Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
