Job description
Special Needs Specialists – Day-to-day supply starting as soon as possible
These flexible opportunities are ideal for Special Needs Specialists who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll work with a range of secondary schools in Feltham and surrounding areas, supporting pupils with diverse needs and helping create inclusive learning environments.
Duties as Special Needs Specialist:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Support pupils in developing social and communication skills
- Maintain accurate records and report progress to senior staff
Ideal Special Needs Specialist:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, and other needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic about making a difference
