Job description

Step Teachers are seeking adaptable Supply Maths Teachers for daily and short-term cover across secondary schools in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas starting as soon as possible.
 
This opportunity is within a range of inclusive and well-supported secondary schools that promote high standards of teaching and learning. Maths Teacher Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Follow school planning or adapt lessons to suit pupil needs
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support pupils in developing problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times

Ideal Candidate for Maths Teacher Roles

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Mathematics or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Maths in secondary schools
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills as Maths Teachers
  • Adaptable and confident working across different year groups
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
