Job description

Supply Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary position (2 days a week) starting December 2025

We are seeking a flexible and experienced Supply Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school community. Duties as Supply Teacher:

  • Teach across any year group as required, including phase leader cover
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain continuity of learning
  • Support pupil progress and engagement during teacher absence
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
  • Liaise with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and handovers
  • Contribute to the wider school community when needed

Ideal Supply Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching across primary key stages
  • Confident covering phase leader responsibilities
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing timetables and year groups
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
