Supply Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting as soon as possible
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. Supply Teachers support learning continuity during staff absences, helping maintain calm routines, positive behaviour, and productive classroom environments.
Duties as Supply Teacher:
- Deliver pre‑prepared lessons across a range of year groups and subjects
- Maintain positive behaviour and consistent classroom routines
- Support pupils’ learning through clear explanations and encouragement
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit different classes and individual needs
- Provide verbal feedback to pupils during lessons
- Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies
- Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Ideal Supply Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Confident teaching across KS1 and KS2
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to changing needs quickly
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- Proactive, reliable, and committed to supporting pupil progress
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
