We are looking for a qualified teaching assistant to work in an alternate provision in Stowmarket. This is a full-time position through Step Teachers. The position is due to commence in September and could lead to a permanent role. Working in an Alternative Provision and can be a tough environment to work in,  the right candidate will need to be both robust and resilient and be experienced in dealing with pupils with behavioral issues.

You will see when you visit the School that they are passionate about what they do: getting the best out of every child whatever their abilities, interests, or ambitions. This is a place of work and a strong work ethic is demanded from staff and students alike. 

• You should have a teaching assistant qualification
• A grade C or above in both Maths and English.
• Experience of working with children with challenging behavior 
• You will ideally have worked in an alternate provision before.
