Job description

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development within a nurturing school environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities.

  • Provide targeted support for individual pupils and small groups, including those with additional needs.

  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment.

  • Support pupils’ personal development and promote positive behaviour.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, displays, and preparation of learning materials.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting is desirable.

  • A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting learning.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills as a Teaching Assistant.

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their education.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
