Job description
Vocational Instructor – Full-time, long-term temporary to permanent role starting February 2026
This setting provides a supportive and engaging learning environment where learners benefit from structured guidance, personalised support, and a curriculum designed to help them develop confidence, skills, and independence. Duties as Vocational Instructor:
- Deliver engaging vocational sessions tailored to learner needs and interests
- Support learners in developing practical, employability, and life skills
- Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet individual learning requirements
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure cohesive support for learners
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise learner welfare
Ideal Vocational Instructor:
- Previous vocational teaching or training experience
- Strong ability to engage, motivate, and support diverse learners
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
- A proactive, patient, and resilient approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learner development
