Year 2/3 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role with potential to become permanent from April 2026

Duties as Year 2/3 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a mixed Year 2/3 class
- Support pupils in developing key literacy and numeracy skills
- Use phonics knowledge to support early reading development
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive behaviour
- Adapt teaching to meet varied learning needs
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Year 2/3 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS1 or KS2
- Confident delivering phonics‑based learning
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of differing abilities
- Good organisational and communication abilities
- Proactive, reflective, and committed to pupil progress
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
