Year 2 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role from February 2026

Duties as Year 2 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and age‑appropriate lessons aligned with the Year 2 curriculum
- Support pupils in developing core literacy and numeracy skills
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote positive classroom routines
- Contribute to team planning and share best practice
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 1
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage, motivate, and support pupils of differing abilities
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Reflective, proactive, and committed approach to teaching
- Dedication to supporting academic and emotional development
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being
