[Insert School Name] is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Year 2 Teacher to join a committed Key Stage 1 team for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a key stage in pupils’ learning, and we are looking for someone who can guide children through this transition year with creativity, confidence, and high expectations.

Duties as Year 2 Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in line with the KS1 national curriculum

• Support pupils' academic progress, with a particular focus on reading, writing, and maths

• Prepare children for end-of-Key-Stage 1 assessments in a supportive and developmentally appropriate way

• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

• Maintain a nurturing, well-managed classroom that promotes positive behaviour and independent learning

Ideal Year 2 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2

• Strong understanding of age-appropriate pedagogy, including phonics and early maths strategies

• Familiarity with end-of-KS1 assessments and moderation processes

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a Year 2 Teacher.
