Job description

Year 3 Teacher – Full-time, temporary cover starting as soon as possible until the end of term

This is a great opportunity for a Year 3 Teacher to join a school where pupils are happy, safe, and enjoy their learning. Staff have high expectations and provide a curriculum that is broad, ambitious, and well matched to pupils’ needs. Leaders are committed to continuous improvement and support staff effectively. Pupils behave well and show positive attitudes to learning.

Duties as Year 3 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support pupil development
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil attainment and behaviour
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and school policies

Ideal Year 3 Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS2 or primary settings
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Committed to pupil progress and well-being
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Year 3 Teacher
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
