Job description

This school is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join a dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils as they progress through Key Stage 2. You will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that support academic achievement, personal development, and a love of learning. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 4 Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform teaching and interventions

  • Work collaboratively with year group colleagues, support staff, and school leadership

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities

Ideal Year 4 Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A sound knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly in English, Maths, and Science

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 4 Teacher.

  • A nurturing and reflective teaching approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
