Year 4 Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive and friendly team at a vibrant school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic practitioner to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children during a vital stage of their education. Starting July 2025.
Duties as Year 4 Teacher:
Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the national curriculum
Plan and prepare engaging, creative and differentiated lessons
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Assess and track pupil progress, providing clear feedback to support learning
Support pupils’ personal development, wellbeing, and individual needs
Establish strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
Contribute to school life, including extra-curricular activities, trips, and whole-school events
Work collaboratively as part of the year group and key stage team
Maintain high expectations for all pupils in behaviour and learning
Ideal Year 4 Teacher:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferably Year 4)
Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and understanding of primary pedagogy
Is committed to nurturing each child’s academic and personal development
Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills as a Year 4 Teacher.
Is organised, reflective, and dedicated to ongoing professional development
Works effectively as part of a team and communicates well with staff and families
