Year 6 Teacher – Part-time, temporary, ongoing from January 2026 until July 2026

Duties as Year 6 Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments and transition to secondary school
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development

Ideal Year 6 Teacher:

Holds QTS and has experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 6
Demonstrates strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
Is confident in supporting pupils through SATs preparation
Has excellent communication and classroom management skills
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Works well as part of a team and builds positive relationships with families
