Year 6 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary from January 2026
This is an exciting opportunity for a Year 6 Teacher to join a school that values high standards and pupil achievement. Duties as Year 6 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for Year 6 pupils in line with the national curriculum
- Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage assessments and ensure progress towards targets
- Assess, record, and report on pupil attainment and development
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and implement effective classroom management strategies
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required
Ideal Year 6 Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and Year 6 assessment requirements
- Previous experience teaching in upper KS2, ideally Year 6
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
