Year 6 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary from January 2026

This is an exciting opportunity for a Year 6 Teacher to join a school that values high standards and pupil achievement. Duties as Year 6 Teacher:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for Year 6 pupils in line with the national curriculum
Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage assessments and ensure progress towards targets
Assess, record, and report on pupil attainment and development
Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
Maintain high standards of behaviour and implement effective classroom management strategies
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required

Ideal Year 6 Teacher:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and Year 6 assessment requirements
Previous experience teaching in upper KS2, ideally Year 6
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
