Chemistry Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting April 2026

Duties as Chemistry Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons across relevant year groups
- Support pupils in developing strong scientific understanding and practical skills
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and promote consistent routines
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
- Assess learning within lessons and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider curriculum development
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Chemistry Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Chemistry
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry at secondary level
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners of differing abilities
- Good organisational and communication abilities
- Reflective, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
