Year 3 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting ASAP until the end of the academic year
This school provides a calm, nurturing and well‑organised learning environment where pupils benefit from supportive adults, clear routines and engaging teaching. Staff work collaboratively to uphold high expectations, helping pupils feel safe, motivated and confident in their learning. Pupils respond positively to purposeful lessons that encourage independence, curiosity and steady academic progress.
Duties as Year 3 Teacher:
- Teach a Year 3 class full time, delivering high‑quality lessons
- Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum expectations
- Support pupils’ progress in literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum subjects
- Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
- Adapt teaching strategies to support varied learning needs, including SEND
- Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment and whole‑school initiatives
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Year 3 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS2 experience
- Confident planning, delivering and assessing independently
- Effective behaviour and classroom management skills
- Strong communication, organisation and teamwork abilities
- Able to motivate and support pupils of mixed abilities
- Reflective, proactive and committed to high‑quality teaching
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
