Job description
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students in a subject that is vital for the modern world, equipping them with the digital and problem-solving skills needed for future success. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as Computer Science Teacher:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable)
Teaching key topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, networks, and cybersecurity
Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high levels of progress and achievement
Encouraging creativity, innovation, and resilience through project-based learning and practical tasks
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing effective feedback and support
Contributing to the wider school community, including extracurricular clubs such as coding or robotics
Ideal Computer Science Teacher:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level
Be passionate about technology and able to engage students of all abilities
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Computer Science Teacher.
Be adaptable, innovative, and committed to raising achievement in computing
