We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students in a practical and innovative subject, helping them to develop design, problem-solving, and technical skills for the future. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as Design Technology Teacher:
Planning and delivering engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable)
Teaching a range of DT specialisms such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, or food technology (depending on expertise)
Preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high standards of progress and achievement
Promoting creativity, innovation, and resilience through hands-on projects and practical work
Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop/classroom environment in line with health and safety requirements
Contributing to the wider school community, including extracurricular clubs or projects such as STEM, engineering, or design challenges
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level
Be passionate about design, innovation, and practical learning
Have strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Design Technology Teacher.
Be adaptable, proactive, and committed to raising achievement in DT
