Design Technology Technician – Full-time, long-term temporary position starting as soon as possible

We are seeking a proactive Design Technology Technician to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school environment. Duties as Design Technology Technician:

Prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons in design technology
Maintain tools, machinery and workshop areas to ensure safety and functionality
Support teaching staff during lessons and demonstrations
Assist pupils with practical tasks and project work
Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Contribute to the smooth running of the department

Ideal Design Technology Technician:

Experience working in a school workshop or similar technical environment
Knowledge of design technology tools, machinery and materials
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
Good organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
