English Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting as soon as possible

Duties as English Teacher:
- Teach English across relevant year groups on a full-time basis
- Deliver engaging lessons and support pupils with reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Attend directed time on Mondays until 5pm as part of staff commitments
- Use provided planning where needed and adapt lessons to meet learner needs
- Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and a calm learning environment
- Assess pupil understanding during lessons and provide verbal feedback
- Contribute to departmental collaboration and wider school practice
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
- Good organisational and communication abilities
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
