General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026

Leaders work collaboratively with teachers to uphold strong expectations, helping pupils feel motivated, safe, and fully engaged. Pupils respond well to purposeful lessons that support scientific understanding, resilience, and steady academic progress.
Duties as General Science Teacher:
- Teach General Science across KS3 on a full-time basis
- Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
- Adapt teaching approaches to support varied learning needs and abilities
- Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
- Support pupils in developing scientific enquiry and problem‑solving skills
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive verbal feedback
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS3 Science
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics foundations
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and support mixed‑ability learners
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- Proactive, reflective, and committed to delivering high‑quality lessons
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
