English Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an inspiring and committed English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to engage students with literature, language, and writing, helping them to achieve their full potential. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as an English Teacher:
Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable)
Inspiring students to develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
Preparing pupils for GCSE/AS/A-Level examinations, ensuring high standards of progress and achievement
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing effective feedback and support
Contributing to the wider school community and extracurricular activities where appropriate
Ideal English Teacher:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching English at secondary level
Be passionate about literature and language, with the ability to inspire students of all abilities
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills as an English Teacher.
Be adaptable, motivated, and committed to raising achievement
