English Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role from January 2026
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to join a school where pupils are supported to achieve their best through a well-structured and ambitious curriculum. Duties as English Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
- Participate in school events, meetings, and CPD opportunities
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote pupil wellbeing
Ideal English Teacher:
- Holds QTS and has experience teaching English at secondary level
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management
- Is committed to raising achievement and supporting all learners
- Works well as part of a team and contributes to whole-school initiatives
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills as an English Teacher
- Is passionate about English and inspiring young people
