English Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Sudbury and the surrounding areas, delivering high‑quality English lessons across Key Stages.
Duties as English Teacher:
- Deliver engaging English lessons using provided plans
- Teach a range of topics including literature, language, reading, and writing
- Support students in developing strong analytical and communication skills
- Assess and record pupil progress where required
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
- Contribute to departmental planning during longer‑term placements
Ideal English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners across different year groups
- Adaptable across a range of school environments
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
