Are you a passionate and inspiring Science teacher ready to ignite curiosity and foster a love of learning in the next generation?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed General Science Teacher to join a dedicated team at a vibrant school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics to a range of learners. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

 

  • Deliver high-quality science lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils

  • Plan and assess in line with national curriculum expectations

  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners

  • Track student progress and contribute to department data and intervention strategies

  • Take part in departmental planning, CPD and enrichment opportunities

  • Uphold the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times

Ideal General Science Teacher:

 

  • Has QTS (or is working towards it) and a relevant science degree

  • Has a sound understanding of the secondary science curriculum

  • Can teach general science confidently across KS3 and KS4

  • Is a strong communicator with excellent classroom management skills as a General Science Teacher.

  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to raising standards

  • Works well both independently and as part of a team
