General Science Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Science Teacher to join a successful secondary school. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher to engage students in the wonders of science and contribute to a dynamic and supportive department. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a General Science Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the National Curriculum.
Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for science in students.
Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
Create an inclusive learning environment that supports all learners, including those with additional needs.
Contribute to curriculum development, enrichment activities, and the wider life of the school.
Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement, and progress.
Ideal General Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 (and ideally a specialism for KS4).
Ability to inspire, challenge, and support students of all abilities.
Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
A commitment to professional development and collaborative working.
