General Science Teacher
Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic General Science Teacher to inspire curiosity and a love of learning in students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, supporting pupils to develop strong scientific understanding and critical-thinking skills. Starting September 2025.
Duties as General Science Teacher:
Plan, prepare and deliver well-structured Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Differentiate activities to meet a range of abilities and learning styles.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable targets.
Maintain excellent classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Contribute to departmental planning, resources and enrichment activities such as clubs or science fairs.
Ideal General Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge across all three sciences.
Recent experience teaching Science at KS3/KS4 (A-level experience an advantage).
Effective communication and classroom management skills as General Science Teacher.
Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
