General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary from January 2026

This full-time General Science Teacher role begins in January 2026 and offers ongoing long-term cover in a well-supported secondary school. Pupils are respectful and eager to learn, and staff are proud to work in a school where leaders are ambitious and committed to improvement. The curriculum is broad and well-structured, and pupils benefit from strong pastoral support and positive relationships with staff. Duties as General Science Teacher:

Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and school policies
Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery
Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities
Fulfil responsibilities associated with TLR2B, as applicable

Ideal General Science Teacher:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science in secondary schools
Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher
Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Able to take on additional responsibilities under TLR2B
