General Science Teacher

General Science Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary from January 2026
This full-time General Science Teacher role begins in January 2026 and offers ongoing long-term cover in a well-supported secondary school. Pupils are respectful and eager to learn, and staff are proud to work in a school where leaders are ambitious and committed to improvement. The curriculum is broad and well-structured, and pupils benefit from strong pastoral support and positive relationships with staff. Duties as General Science Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and school policies
- Support pupils’ academic progress and personal development
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities
- Fulfil responsibilities associated with TLR2B, as applicable
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Science in secondary schools
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Able to take on additional responsibilities under TLR2B
