Job description

General Science Teacher – Full-time, ongoing positions starting as soon as possible
 
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Lowestoft and the surrounding areas.

Duties as General Science Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across KS3 and KS4 Science
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess and monitor student progress in line with curriculum standards
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and school policies

Ideal General Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching General Science at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Commitment to professional development and pupil welfare
