PE Teacher – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible
These flexible opportunities are ideal for PE Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Plymouth and the surrounding areas. Experience teaching female students is essential for this role.
Duties as PE Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and lead activities tailored to female students, promoting participation and confidence
- Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
- Manage classroom and sports hall behaviour effectively
- Organise and supervise practical activities and sports fixtures
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained during all activities
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines
Ideal PE Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching PE in UK secondary schools, including girls’ PE lessons
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for physical education
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
- A flexible and proactive approach to supply teaching
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
