Job description

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a Humanities Faculty. The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring students to understand and appreciate the world around them. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities for A-Level teaching for the right candidate. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Geography Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention where needed.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the Humanities department.

  • Foster a love of geography through creative teaching and extracurricular opportunities.

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment.

Ideal Geography Teacher:

  • Holds QTS and has experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting.

  • Has excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to high academic standards.

  • Is reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.

  • Can inspire and motivate learners of all abilities as a Geography Teacher.

  • Is a team player with a positive, proactive approach.
