Job description

Step Teachers have been asked to recruit a Humanities Teacher for a lovely secondary school in Haringey. In the first instance, the role of Humanities Teacher will be a full time, long-term post commencing in September 2020, however, the school make it clear that strong performance is likely to be rewarded with a permanent post. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • You should have a Degree Level Qualification & QTS Qualification for the Secondary Phase 
  • Previous demonstrable experience teaching Humanities to GCSE in a UK mainstream school, experience teaching PSHE would be beneficial  
  • An enthusiastic approach with a passion for science and a commitment to the schools wider ethos
  • The ability to build effective student-teacher relationships and implement effective classroom management strategies
