Job description

KS1 Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Clacton on Sea and the surrounding areas, delivering high‑quality learning experiences across Key Stage 1.

Duties as KS1 Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum following provided plans
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning needs
  • Assess and record pupil progress when required
  • Communicate effectively with school staff and contribute to wider school life during longer-term placements

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Adaptable across different year groups and school environments
  • Positive and professional approach to supporting pupil learning
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
