Job description
We are looking for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school on a long term temporary basis starting in October 2025.

Duties as a KS1 Teaching Assistant:
Support the class teacher with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons
Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning and provide targeted support
Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
Support pupils’ social and emotional development, encouraging confidence and independence
Prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources
Provide feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and behaviour
Assist with the supervision of pupils during break and lunch times when required
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant:
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
Experience working within a KS1 setting
A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
Strong communication and teamwork skills as a KS1 Teaching Assistant.
