KS2 Teacher – Full-time, long-term maternity cover from as soon as possible until the end of the academic year

Duties as KS2 Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
  • Support pupils in developing core literacy, numeracy, and wider subject skills
  • Maintain a calm, well‑organised classroom and positive behaviour routines
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
  • Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a supportive teaching team
  • Contribute to planning, assessment, and wider school responsibilities
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal KS2 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS2
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners of mixed abilities
  • Good organisational and communication abilities
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
