Level 3 Early Years Practitioner – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting March 2026, 8am/10am start to 4pm/6pm finish


This early years setting provides a warm, nurturing, and well‑organised learning environment where children benefit from caring adults, predictable routines, and engaging developmental activities. Staff work collaboratively to uphold high expectations, helping children feel safe, confident, and ready to explore. Pupils respond positively to purposeful experiences that encourage communication, independence, and steady early learning progress.

Duties as Level 3 Early Years Practitioner:

  • Deliver and support early years activities that promote learning through play
  • Contribute to planning and preparation of age‑appropriate learning experiences
  • Support early literacy, numeracy, communication, and physical development
  • Maintain a nurturing, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Assist with observations, assessments, and written notes on child progress
  • Help with daily routines such as settling, transitions, toileting, and meals
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistent early years practice
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise child well‑being

Ideal Level 3 Early Years Practitioner:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential
  • Strong early years experience is required
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach to young children
  • Confident supporting early reading, phonics, and play‑based learning
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Able to work the required 8am/10am start and 4pm/6pm finish pattern
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to delivering high‑quality early years provision
