Maths Teacher
Job description
This school is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive department. We are committed to providing high-quality education and are looking for someone who can deliver engaging lessons that foster a love of learning and enable all pupils to achieve their full potential. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Maths Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage, challenge, and support all students
Assess, record, and report on the progress of students in line with school policies
Set high expectations for student behaviour and establish a positive learning environment
Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and departmental resources
Use data to track student progress and identify interventions where necessary
Support students in preparing for internal and external examinations
Participate in departmental, staff, and parent meetings, as well as whole-school CPD
Provide extra-curricular or enrichment opportunities related to mathematics
Act as a form tutor and carry out associated pastoral duties
Promote the school’s ethos and contribute to the wider school community
Ideal Maths Teacher:
Be a qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
Have a strong subject knowledge in mathematics
Be able to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
Have a passion for making maths accessible and enjoyable for all learners
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Maths Teacher.
Be committed to raising attainment and developing the whole child
