Job description

This school is a thriving and inclusive secondary school dedicated to academic excellence and student wellbeing. We are seeking a talented and committed Maths Teacher to join a dynamic department and contribute to outstanding outcomes in mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Maths Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Inspire students to develop confidence and competence in mathematics, promoting problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Use assessment to inform teaching and monitor student progress.

  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes resilience, motivation, and achievement.

  • Work collaboratively within a supportive Maths department and contribute to the wider school community.

Ideal Maths Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.

  • Excellent subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable).

  • Effective classroom management and communication skills as a Maths Teacher.

  • High expectations for behaviour and achievement.

  • A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
