Job description
We are seeking a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in a mixed Year 2/3 class. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children in a nurturing and supportive primary school environment. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
Work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2.
Provide individual and small group support to help pupils access learning and achieve their potential.
Support children with varying needs, including those with SEND.
Help manage classroom routines and maintain a positive learning environment.
Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays.
Ideal Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a classroom setting.
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) or willingness to work towards one.
A kind, patient, and enthusiastic approach as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child development.
