Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in a mixed Year 2/3 class. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children in a nurturing and supportive primary school environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:

• Work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2.

• Provide individual and small group support to help pupils access learning and achieve their potential.

• Support children with varying needs, including those with SEND.

• Help manage classroom routines and maintain a positive learning environment.

• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays.

Ideal Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a classroom setting.

• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) or willingness to work towards one.

• A kind, patient, and enthusiastic approach as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child development.
