Maths Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Banbury and the surrounding areas, delivering motivating and high‑quality Maths lessons across Key Stages.
Duties as Maths Teacher:
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons following provided plans
- Teach a broad range of mathematical topics, including algebra, geometry, number, and statistics
- Support pupils in developing problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners with varied abilities
- Assess and record pupil progress where required
- Maintain a positive and well‑managed classroom environment
- Contribute to department planning during longer‑term placements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to promote consistent learning
Ideal Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge across the Maths curriculum
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners across different year groups
- Adaptable across a range of school environments
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
