Music Teacher
Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to inspire and nurture a love of music in students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that develop pupils’ musical skills, creativity, and confidence across a range of styles and instruments. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Music Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons to pupils across relevant key stages.
Teach practical and theoretical aspects of music, including performance, composition, and appreciation.
Organise and lead extra-curricular activities such as choir, orchestra, or music clubs.
Prepare pupils for performances, concerts, and external examinations where appropriate.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
Contribute to school events and productions, working collaboratively with staff and the wider community.
Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing feedback to support their musical development.
Ideal Music Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Strong subject knowledge and passion for music.
Ability to teach a range of musical instruments and styles.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Music Teacher.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
