Job description
We are looking for a passionate, nurturing, and creative Nursery Teacher to join an Early Years team at a warm and vibrant school. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young children, laying the foundations for future learning through play, exploration and discovery. Beginning September 2025
As our Nursery Teacher, you will lead a well-resourced classroom, working closely with teaching assistants and parents to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children feel happy and thrive.
Duties as a Nursery Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Create a positive, engaging and language-rich environment that promotes communication and social skills.
Observe, assess and record each child’s progress and use this to inform planning.
Build strong relationships with children, parents and staff to support development and wellbeing.
Lead and model outstanding early years practice, supporting teaching assistants within the setting.
Promote children’s independence, creativity, and love for learning through purposeful play and guided activities.
Ideal Nursery Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
A caring, enthusiastic and flexible approach to teaching.
Excellent communication and organisational skills as a Nursery Teacher.
Commitment to inclusive, child-centred education and safeguarding.
- Experience teaching in a Nursery or Early Years setting.
