Job Description 

Are you an experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant seeking a fulfilling role in early childhood education? Step Teachers are working with an "Outstanding" Ofsted-rated Nursery located in St Albans. They are looking for a dedicated Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their team in a long-term role to start in September 2024. The successful candidate will also be required to be Deputy Room Leader and will be joining a team that empowers our next generation to positively change the world in their own unique ways.

Nursery Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Make a positive impact within the classroom, supporting children's learning and development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and provide pastoral support to children when required, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing feedback on children's progress and achievements and fostering positive partnerships.
• Assist the class teacher with planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote learning.

Nursery Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant/Early Years qualification or equivalent is desirable.
• Previous experience working as an EYFS Teaching Assistant
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support children's learning and well-being.
• Teaching Assistant must have experience as a Room Leader or Deputy
