Nursery Teaching Assistant – Long-term, temporary and ongoing role starting December 2025

Duties as Nursery Teaching Assistant:

Support the learning and development of children aged 2–5 in a nursery setting
Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment
Support children with personal care and hygiene routines
Work closely with parents and carers to support individual needs
Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s progress
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure inclusive practice for all children

Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with nursery-aged children in an educational setting
Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners
Strong communication and teamwork skills as a Nursery Teaching Assistant.
Relevant childcare or education qualification is desirable
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
