Nursery Teaching Assistant – Long-term, temporary and ongoing role starting December 2025

Duties as Nursery Teaching Assistant:
- Support the learning and development of children aged 2–5 in a nursery setting
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging activities
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment
- Support children with personal care and hygiene routines
- Work closely with parents and carers to support individual needs
- Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure inclusive practice for all children
Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with nursery-aged children in an educational setting
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills as a Nursery Teaching Assistant.
- Relevant childcare or education qualification is desirable
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
