PE Teacher
Job description
PE Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary role from February 2026

Duties as PE Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for primary-aged pupils
- Teach gymnastics as a core part of the curriculum
- Promote teamwork, physical development, and confidence
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and support positive routines
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs
- Assess progress during lessons and provide clear feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to support a consistent approach across year groups
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal PE Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Strong experience teaching PE within a primary setting
- Confident teaching gymnastics
- Secure behaviour and classroom management skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil development
