Job description

PE Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You’ll be supporting schools in Paignton and the surrounding areas, teaching Physical Education across Key Stages.

Duties as PE Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons across the curriculum following provided plans
  • Organise and supervise practical sports activities and ensure safety standards are met
  • Promote health, fitness, and teamwork through structured lessons
  • Assess and record pupil progress where required
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports programmes and school events

Ideal PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education and sports coaching
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
  • Adaptable and confident working across different schools and year groups
