PE Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Witney and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging Physical Education lessons across a range of sports and activities.

Duties as PE Teacher:

Deliver engaging PE lessons following provided plans
Lead practical sports sessions safely indoors and outdoors
Promote teamwork, physical fitness, and positive attitudes to sport
Support participation and confidence across all ability levels
Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Encourage resilience, cooperation, and healthy lifestyle habits
Contribute to extracurricular sports activities when required
Assess and record pupil progress where needed

Ideal PE Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education and sports science
Confident leading practical lessons in varied environments
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
Able to motivate and inspire students of mixed abilities
Adaptable across different school settings and year groups
Professional, organised, and committed to high‑quality teaching
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
