PE Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Witney and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging Physical Education lessons across a range of sports and activities.
Duties as PE Teacher:
- Deliver engaging PE lessons following provided plans
- Lead practical sports sessions safely indoors and outdoors
- Promote teamwork, physical fitness, and positive attitudes to sport
- Support participation and confidence across all ability levels
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Encourage resilience, cooperation, and healthy lifestyle habits
- Contribute to extracurricular sports activities when required
- Assess and record pupil progress where needed
Ideal PE Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education and sports science
- Confident leading practical lessons in varied environments
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Able to motivate and inspire students of mixed abilities
- Adaptable across different school settings and year groups
- Professional, organised, and committed to high‑quality teaching
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
