Start: ASAP Pay: £95/day (PAYE)
Hours: Full-time Mon–Fri 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Temp-to-Perm for the right person

We’re working with a supportive primary PRU in Manchester that caters for pupils aged 5–11 with SEMH needs who may have faced challenges in mainstream settings. This role is ideal for someone resilient, patient, and nurturing, with a commitment to helping children build trust, regulate emotions, and succeed in a safe, structured environment. The school focuses strongly on safety, inclusion, positive relationships, and personal growth - ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.

As a Team Teach trained Primary Teaching Assistant you’ll support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis with their learning, behaviour regulation, and social-emotional development. With your Team Teach training, you’ll confidently use de-escalation strategies and restorative approaches to help children manage challenges, develop resilience, and re-engage with their education. You’ll work alongside teachers, pastoral leads, and specialist staff in a dedicated team that prioritises wellbeing, communication, and progress for every learner.

What you’ll need:
• At least 3 months’ experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs
• Primary experience and Team Teach certification
• A calm, confident, and empathetic approach - especially in challenging situations
• A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young children

Benefits:
• Equal pay to permanent staff in the same role after 13 weeks
• DBS refund after 20 working days
• Free CPD opportunities via The National College & Creative Education
• Step Perks (24/7 GP access, retail discounts & more)
• £100 Amazon voucher through our Refer-a-Friend scheme - T&Cs apply
• Ongoing support from a specialist SEN consultant with over 10 years’ experience in the Manchester area

Requirements:
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Professional references covering the last 2 years
• Right to work in the UK
• Photo ID & Proof of Address
• Up-to-date CV with a 10-year work history
